Who is in need of some last minute Mother’s Day gift ideas? We’re not sure about you, but Mother’s Day seems to have snuck up on us this year! Actually, we can’t believe we’re already in May!
Finding the perfect Mother’s Day gift is no easy task. We want to let Mom know how thankful we are for all that she does for us. Here are a few Mother’s Day gift ideas.
For the foodie
Is your mom the kind of mom who loves to cook and create amazing dishes in the kitchen? Does she love baking special treats? Cuisipro, Canada’s leading manufacturer of kitchen gadgets and accessories has some must-have kitchen gadgets and accessories that mom will love. Check out their Mother’s Day Collection here.
What do you think your mom would love to receive? I’m quite partial to the Herb Keeper.A smart solution for storing and extending the life of herbs. Since it’s spring and we grow our own herbs on our farm, this would be the ideal gift for me. The Cuisipro Herb Keeper’ unique suspended tray system makes it easy to store and access herbs. The Herb Keeper is perfect when you wish to enjoy meals with the addition of fresh herbs.
For moms who want to make their own yogurt cheese, Cuisipro also has their Cuisipro Yogurt Cheese Maker. I used to use my dough scraper quite often, and for some reason it has disappeared. I have no idea how a dough scraper can vanish into thin air, but Cuisipro has a good one.
For the plant and flower lover
The Flower Hutch has beautiful flower arrangements and bouquets.
E’s Flowers also has beautiful flowers and other gifts for the special people in your life.
Plant Mamas could always use more plants, right? There’s no such thing as too many plants! JD’s Manitoulin Garden Centre has everything from succulents, to citrus trees, banana trees, hanging baskets, fruit trees, and all your perennial and annual plants.
For the outdoor enthusiast
Perhaps your mom doesn’t want material things and would rather spend time outdoors with her favourite people. Take mom on a nature hike or for the first picnic lunch of the year! I’m not sure what my husband and daughter have planned for Mother’s Day, but my ideal Mother’s Day would include going for a walk on the beach at Providence Bay, Dominion Bay, or Misery Bay.
Of course, for moms who love the outdoors, perhaps a new set of workout gear/active wear or new pair of hiking boots or running shoes would be a great idea.
For the mom who just needs a rest

A cozy blanket or an insulated cup or tumbler from Island Home Outfitters on Manitoulin Island is always high on my list.

Dewar Farm Soaps has some beautiful locally made soaps (that smell amazing).
Finally, give Mom the gift that she probably REALLY wants — A night off from cooking supper! Treat Mom out to her favourite restaurant. I hope my husband and daughter see this blog post. I’ll just put this out there just in case. I could go for a meal from The Garden’s Gate Restaurant any day of the week. Just sayin’.
