New Grain Bread has delectable treats for all. Whether it’s savoury or sweet that you are craving, New Grain has just what you need. Everything we have ever ordered from New Grain has been excellent. We’ve had their bagels, focaccia, brioche, Lox Box, Mediterranian Box, and more. If I were to ask for something for Christmas, it would definitely be something from New Grain! Just saying!
One of my absolute favourite local shops is Finnia Chocolate.
Finnia Chocolate has Special Edition Flavoured Chocolate like Manitoulin Mint, Buttermilk Gianduja, Sweet and Salty Canadian, Split Rail Oat Stout Dark Chocolate, and more. They also have Single Origin Bean-to-Bar Chocolate (Buttermilk 48%, Honduras 70%, etc). They also have gift items, Cocoa Bean Tea, Hot Chocolate Bombs, Truffles, and more.
Main Street Cafe in Kagawong serves some epic meals and we love the layers of flavour in all their menu items. If you’re thinking of gifting some baking to a loved one, Jean’s Million Dollar Shortbread is a definite winner! She has
The Saucy Apple at JD’s Garden Centre has delicious homemade meals and baked goods. Generous portions and so much flavour. For gift items, The Saucy Apple has a variety of pickles, condiments, preserves, jams, and other goodies.
Manitoulin Chocolate Works is famous for their chocolate treats on (and off) Manitoulin. Whenever I want to pick up a few special items for gifts or stocking stuffers, Manitoulin Chocolate Works chocolate is perfect. They make great teachers’ gifts too!
The Garden’s Gate Restaurant has oven ready meals, baked goods, desserts, and gift items available.

I know that as a busy mom, dinners that I don’t have to cook (or clean up after) are very much appreciated. Why not give the gift of a cooking-free dinner to a special mom in your life? Ordering a meal from The Anchor Inn, Elliott’s, Mum’s, The Grill and Chill, 3 Cows and a Cone, RC’s Diner, Manitoulin Conference Centre’s Restaurant (North46) and other dining establishments on the island would be the perfect gift!
Make someone’s day with flowers and greenery!
I’m not going to lie. I love having a bouquet of fresh flowers in the house. Flowers make me happy. They just brighten up my day. I’m also obsessed with houseplants. One can never have too many plants, right?
E’s Flowers in Mindemoya has a variety of gift items available for the season. They have beautiful gift baskets as well as cut flowers and fresh evergreens for centerpieces and decor! They are also offering delivery throughout December leading up to Christmas, making it the perfect way to spread some cheer when you can’t be there in person.
