Canada Day is almost upon us, and this Canada Day is a BIG one! Canada 150! Celebrations will definitely be including BBQ parties with friends! We’re already thinking about some perfect pairings!
I don’t know about you, but with school ending and Canada 150 celebrations beginning, we’re really strapped for time. Easy, delicious, and quick recipes for the BBQ are what we look for.
Little One came up with this recipe, and it’s really pretty good for an 8 year-old child!
Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Tournedos on the BBQ served up with Tzatziki Cucumber and Carrot “Noodles”. For starters, Little One loves Summer Fresh Tzatziki and finds it delicious and refreshing, and she also loves using her veggie spiralizer to make veggie noodles!
Ingredients:
- 4 strips of bacon
- 4 pieces of chicken breasts made into medallions
- 1 carrot, made into “noodles” with veggie spiralizer
- 1 cucumber made into “noodles” with veggie spiralizer
- Summer Fresh Tzatziki, 3-4 Tbsp
Instructions:
- Wrap bacon around medallions and grill on BBQ for 20-25 minutes
- In a mixing bowl, add cucumber and carrot “noodles” and combine with Summer Fresh Tzatziki
- Arrange “noodles” on plate and top with Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Tournedos.
- Enjoy!
*Note: Little One did not get the beautiful grill marks one would achieve from using the BBQ grill. Since she is only 8 years old, she used the indoor grill and forgot to put the grill plates on and accidentally used the griddle plates. Still…Not bad for a little kid, right?
