Before I gush about how excited I am about our Fuller House sneak peek, I need to talk about being a kid in the 80s and 90s.
Growing up, one of my favourite shows was Full House. Like many kids in my vintage, Full House represented the epitome of adolescence. Everything from the fashions of the time, DJ’s big hair and sky high teased bangs, to the catch phrases of the day — all of those things had an influence on our daily lives. Phrases like “How rude!” and “Have mercy!” were associated with the characters, Stephanie and Jesse. I recall using “How rude!” and “Cut. It. Out.” when I was a tween!
It’s not just the fashions and expressions of the day that made Full House such a large part of our lives. Sure, acid wash jeans, jean jackets, really bright printed t-shirts and sweaters were the rage back then, it was the stories and the characters that made the show larger than life. The show addressed everything from dealing with the loss of a parent to sibling rivalry and life lessons like dealing with peer pressure, trying to be cool in junior high, shoplifting, fighting with your best friend, and so many other issues tweens and teens face.
Through laughter and comedy, there were many valuable lessons that came from Full House.
I’ve recently introduced Little One to Full House and she is hooked. It’s kind of like things have come full circle. I used to watch the show as a kid and now my kid is watching the show and enjoying it as I did when I was little.
I am really excited that we got a sneak peak at Fuller House!
Fuller House
In Fuller House, the adventures that began in 1987 on Full House continue, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron-Bure) recently widowed and living in San Francisco. D.J.’s younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and D.J.’s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), along with Kimmy’s feisty teenage daughter Ramona, all move in to help take care of D.J.’s three boys — the rebellious 12-year-old Jackson, neurotic 7-year-old Max and her newborn baby, Tommy Jr.
It was so neat to see the Tanner girls all grown up. Seeing the original cast back together again was also a great blast from the past.
I have to say that when I saw this trailer, my thirteen year old self may have let out a rather high pitched squeal of excitement.
The Fuller House sneak peek was so much fun. Hang tight, because you’ll get to see the much anticipated Netflix original series as of February 26th!

Are you excited yet? Though decades have gone by and a lot has changed, the show, the characters, the stories and the lessons are all still relevant today. Good wholesome fun for the entire family!
