Sweet gifts for loved ones.
I think I have successfully convinced myself that Valentine’s Day is but just another day. Romantic notions of chocolate and roses are out the window. Ahhh…Who am I kidding? I actually do enjoy receiving flowers, chocolate and a sweet card from my husband. I think I only try to convince myself otherwise because in the off chance that he forgets about Valentine’s Day, at least I won’t be disappointed if I don’t receive anything. Really, I don’t need anything material from my husband to know that he cares. However, little surprises are appreciated.
Sweet gifts even for little ones
Little One has been having odd nightmares the past few nights. I don’t know if it’s from all the activities, stimulation, coupled with an overactive imagination that have caused her sleep to be interrupted. Hubby and I have taken turns running to her room late at night when she screams out in tears. Last night, she had a dream that one of the kids on her bus got his arm chopped off because he stuck it out the window on the bus and the window closed on his arm. The night before, she had a dream that she, her babysitter and I were in a bad neighbourhood called “The Place Where Children Are” and the bad children were trying to rob us. I have no idea where all of this comes from, but something is definitely bothering her. In the daytime, all is well though.
The point to this long-winded story is that I think I will be giving this to Little One for Valentine’s Day. Just a little something to remind her that if she’s tossing and turning and just can’t fall asleep, I’ll sing a song beside her. She seems to be needing a bit of extra love.
Count on Me Bear is $17.95 with purchase of three Hallmark cards. Regularly $32.95. This lovable friend is super soft and plays a sweet version of Bruno Mars’ “Count on Me”. I know Little One is going to love this. A new pal to snuggle with AND she happens to love that Bruno Mars song.
This Valentine’s Day, Hallmark has a few sweet items for your loved ones.
The Crafters & Co triple milled natural soaps look great with Hallmark’s white ceramic soap dish ($12.95).
These days, I’m really into scarves and this red heart scarf is the perfect accent to a Valentine’s outfit. The Wrapped in Love Scarves are only $9.95 each!
Though I plug most of my notes and important dates into my smartphone, I still also do pen and paper note-taking as well. It sounds funny, but I find I remember things better if I physically write things down. For this reason, the Marjolein Bastin Flat Tower with pen is perfect for sitting on my desk next to my computer and telephone for when I need to quickly jot down information.
There are so many beautiful gift items available at Hallmark Canada, but these are my top picks for sweet gifts for loved ones.
Guess what? We’re giving away one of Hallmark’s beautiful white ceramic soap dishes.
