Netlfix is a big thing in our house, and so is Halloween! Though Little One is only allowed watching TV on weekends, she is always on the ball when it comes to picking which movies and shows we will watch for Family Movie Night on Fridays. In fact, she even came up with a list of Netflix Canada-Inspired Halloween costumes! Halloween is one of the most anticipated days of the year for Little One! It’s always about the perfect costume.
Some may find it interesting to learn that my daughter has a huge wardrobe devoted to none other than…COSTUMES!
Yes, an entire wooden wardrobe that contains nothing but costumes. Little One has always been the type of child who could play dress-up for hours! Her love of movies and dress-up have led to some interesting Halloween costumes over the years.
Little One is obsessed with mermaids these days. She has watched the Mako Mermaids: An H20 Adventure countless times.
She also really enjoys Angelina Ballerina.
One of the movies Little One really enjoys on Netflix at the moment is Strange Magic.
We discussed other Netflix Canada-inspired Halloween costumes like Daphne or Velma from Scooby Doo, and Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony. Little One said she wanted to be a mermaid again. We’ll see if she changes her mind!
If you’re running out of inspiration when it comes to deciding on Halloween costumes, you’re bound to find something you like on Netflix. There are so many favourite TV and movie characters!
Need some inspiration? Little One highly recommends the following:
Mr. Peabody & Sherman. She’s *only* watched it about a dozen times already!
This has quickly become one of Little One’s favourites. She was really interested in the characters and kept asking me if the characters were based on real people. She soon became interested in historical events and geography. She said she wants to do research on Ancient Egypt, the French Revolution, and Ancient Greece. Hubby and I watched with her and we were quite impressed! I really love how Mr. Peabody & Sherman sparked keen interest in Little One when it came to history. The characters are funny and the story line is one that will captivate both adults and children.
Despicable Me. Why not dress as Gru and have your little ones dress like minions?!
Hotel Transylvania. Lots of fun Halloween inspiration here! Your kids can go as Dracula or Mavis!
Do your kids sometimes dress up as their favourite Netflix characters? Who are your kids’ favourites right now? What are they Netflixing?
What are your kids dressing up as for Halloween this year?
