The following is a guest post by my six year old (or as she says, “soon-to-be seven year old”) daughter. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are hers. She can’t type quickly and she only spells words phonetically, so I will act as the stenotype today.
I love Disney.
One of my favourite Disney movies is Frozen. I love Queen Elsa of Arendelle.
GLAD and Disney work really well together because GLAD and Disney make lunches fun.
This picture is a Cars lunch. This lunch is vegi-licious! It’s filled with a bunch of delicious veggies. Yummy carrots, yummy cucumbers. There’s yogurt, chicken salad on a croissant and some grapes.
This is a yummy Frozen lunch. It’s a raspberry jam sandwich and snowflake picks with snowflake cheese. Brrrrr! Do you feel frozen?
Zoom! Zoom! Here comes Mater from Cars! Let’s see what’s in our lunch today!
Oh! It looks like a cucumber and carrot car! Yum! Yum!
To make this cute cucumber and carrot car, you will need:
- 4 toothpicks
- 1 large carrot
- 1 small cucumber
- 1 pick (with eyes)
- 1 GLAD Disney Cars Snack and Sandwich Zipper Bag
Wash your vegetables. Cut up the large carrot into 5 slices. Put the cucumber in the middle. Put the toothpicks through the side and attach wheels. For the face, put one carrot piece on the cucumber and attach with toothpick. Put pick with eyes through the carrot piece to make a face. Put your finished veggie car in GLAD Disney Cars Snack and Sandwich Zipper Bag and take it with you so you can eat a healthy snack on the go.
This one is not food. You can put your supplies in a GLAD Disney Frozen Snack and Sandwich Zipper Bag so you don’t lose your supplies on the go. I like to keep a bag of crayons in the van for activities when we are traveling.
Bye for now!
From Little One. See you soon!

I really like the idea of using cookie cutters to make fun shapes in their lunches! What a great idea, thank you for sharing. I’m new to this whole making lunch thing 😉
You always make the BEST lunches!. Little One is probably the envy of all her classmates!
Truth be told, these ones were all her! People think I’m the one behind the lunches, but it’s really my 6 year old!
Cute lunch idea! Lunches are my least favourite part of the kids going back to school.
Katie, you’re going to think I’m nuts, but I love making lunches! Little One is easy though. She usually just wants leftovers from supper and I put them in colourful silicone muffin liners or add little embellishments. She’s not usually a sandwich kid.
Little One is an excellent reviewer! I love her choices of meals and that carrot and cucumber car need a starring role in Cars 3 🙂
Haha! Isn’t that cute? Little One is pretty clever! That was all her!!!
Little one is so creative. I love the car inspired lunch. My daughter will love Frozen sandwich.
So funny how Frozen has been out for a while now and I still hear the songs EVERY day in this house. EVERY day!!!
these are great! I don’t think i’d be able to throw them away! lol they’re so cute! I know my 4 year old would love these… He loves frozen lol
I know, right? Super cute.
Little one is LOTS AWESOME!!! Love Little One’s viewpoint. Very informative. I LOVE how she says “this is not food” when she described the supplies GLAD baggie. I am in love with the cars cucumber and carrots. Please tell her that I absolutely appreciate her very in-depth explanation and ingredient list for her vegetable snacks.
Cutie pie!
Haha! I’m totally going to read your comment to her. We seriously need to get our girls together sometime!! 🙂 xo
