Growing up, I was a big fan of My Little Pony! In fact, my most treasured childhood toy is the My Little Pony (Cotton Candy) that my favourite uncle gave me when I was a little girl! Now that I have a little girl of my own, I’m amazed to see how popular My Little Pony still is! Little One and her friends (both girls and boys) love the My Little Pony cartoons!
My Little Pony, one of the most popular television series on Treehouse TV, has a new DVD coming June 30th! In the new release titled, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic – Cutie Mark Quests, join Twilight Sparkle and her best friends as they use their special talents and the magic of friendship to keep Ponyland safe and fun. The DVD includes 5 heartwarming episodes from the shows NEWEST SEASON that we know your little princess/prince will love!
Little One got to check out My Little Pony Friendship is Magic – Cutie Mark Quests before it is released on June 30th!
On this 1 disc DVD there are 5 episodes:
- My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: The Show Stoppers
- My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: The Return of Harmony, Part 1
- My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: The Return of Harmony, Part 2
- My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: The Cutie Map, Part 1
- My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: The Cutie Map, Part 2
Little One really enjoys My Little Pony and watching and joining the quest that every pony must take (to find their own cutie mark) was something that captured her attention. I am always surprised at the “take-away” lessons Little One has through My Little Pony episodes. At first glance, parents may think that watching the animated show is but a simple distraction and a form of entertainment. I feel there is so much more though.
“In Equestria, being true to yourself is the key to earning your cutie mark. But staying true to yourself is just as important!”
Little One told me that she wonders what her cutie mark would be if she were a My Little Pony. She also tried to guess what my cutie mark would be. I’m amazed that a six year old child would get out of the show what she did. Then again, I shouldn’t be surprised. Twilight Sparkle, Apple Jack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash and Cutie Mark Crusaders, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom deliver positive messaging and empowerment for kids in every episode. On this particular DVD, they journey to find their own Cutie Marks. They also take on the spirit of chaos and disharmony and visit a village where every pony has given up their Cutie Marks.
After watching the episodes, Little One and I chatted about themes like individuality, being unique, being your own person, being different, being authentic, and we also talked about friendship. We both really enjoyed watching My Little Pony Friendship is Magic – Cutie Mark Quests.
