Many moons ago, in my previous life, I used to frequent museums and art galleries and enjoy evenings out with friends. Dinner and drinks after work were part of my life. Now, those things I enjoyed the most are luxuries to me. Work, life, child, farm and family all take priority. Nights out are a rare treat.
I’ll be honest. I sometimes miss those social outings.
Recently, I was introduced to an exciting event called Art Tonite. As an art appreciator and as someone who enjoys painting and creating, I thought this was the perfect activity for those who want to enjoy an evening out where they can enjoy some great food, cocktails and get creative too.
Hubby and I don’t often get to go out on dates, so this sounds like a great way to spend an evening next time we’re in Toronto.
Art Tonite is a cocktail inspired nite of social painting that brings people together over music, painting, friends and cocktails at upscale local venues. Guests will awaken their creative, expressive selves while enjoying drinks, meeting new people and sharing laughs with friends. Connections made over shared interests, conversation and creative energy. That’s Art Tonite.
You’ll meet new people and share laughs over drinks with friends, finding your own means of creative expression through step-by-step instruction from our Lead Artists.
Each event lasts two hours and you’ll walk out with your very own masterpiece.
There’s no experience necessary and we supply the paint, canvases, easels and brushes. All you need to bring is your lovely, charming self.
You can view a list of upcoming events here or schedule your very own private group event. Creating your own art, enjoying great food and cocktails, and spending time with friends all make a recipe for a fun and memorable evening.

It’s sold out, but I’d love to paint POPPIES IN BLOOM at PAPPAS GRILL. I love poppies & red is my favorite colour!!
Colleen! I want to paint Poppies in Bloom too!
I’d love to paint poppies in bloom or ballerina.
I would love to paint the poppies or the Lost cherry. Looks like a lot of fun!
Hi Christine! I’d love to learn how to paint Lady in Red. I’m planning to be in the Toronto area at the end of June and early August and would live to check it out! (Events haven’t been posted for those dates yet. But I’m sure they’ll be fab. I’d live to take my mom.)
Julie, keep an eye out for the dates! That would be so awesome!!
I would love to try and paint the Poppies in bloom
My daughter is the painter in the family but I have always had a passion for painting! What an amazing way to spend an evening together, she is a TO girl too! 🙂 tysm
I love the poppies, but that event is sold out, so my second pick would be “Reds”. There is always a place for a bit of red in any artwork!
I’d love to take a girlfriend and paint the sunset on the boat cruise.
I’d love to paint the black & white daisy!
Going to try it out this week with a friend. I can’t wait. I love painting but haven’t done it in ages. This is such a great idea. I’m so happy one of the locations is a 2 min walk from my house. I think I’ll make it a regular thing.
Good times … museums, galleries, food and TIFF too. Seems like everything has it time and it’s time to return!
