I always hated the words “she throws like a girl” or “she runs like a girl”.  What does that even mean?

Well, simply put, doing something #LikeAGirl and being #LikeAGirl means you do things with all your heart and with your very best efforts.  It also means owning your actions and not apologizing for being #LikeAGirl.

I’m a mother of a daughter and I don’t want my child growing up thinking that doing something like a girl is a negative thing. I want her to feel empowered and know that she can accomplish whatever she wants to do.

If throwing and running #LikeAGirl means that you do your best and put your heart into what you do, then this means football players throw and run like girls!

This Super Bowl Sunday, watch out for the debut of a 60 second version of the influential #LikeAGirl video. With more than 100 million people watching the Super Bowl, including an expected 10 million in Canada, Always wants to ask girls, women, boys and men across the country and around the world to help redefine the meaning of #LikeAGirl. Join the movement and tune in and join the conversation. Use the hashtag #LikeAGirl & tag @Always to take a stand and show young girls everywhere that we can make “like a girl” mean amazing things!
