Halloween has come and gone. You know what that means, right? Uh-huh! It’s time to bust out all things Christmas in our house! For us, that includes some Kinder Canada items for Little One and her cousins and friends.

We love to do a lot of holiday baking, shopping and decorating our home.
We have an annual Christmas party and decorate my wheelchair with Christmas lights.
We still do kris kringle as adults.
My favorite is going to my grandmas’s for supper Christmas eve, then by the time we got home Santa had already arrived at our house, and it was time to open up the gifts.
We have a Santa Clause movie marathon every year!
We don’t really have any set traditions but we do enjoy dinner with family. Most likely we will start to create new traditions with our 7 month old.
We get to open one gift on Christmas Eve.
We go on an annual Christmas tree hunt every year with my sister and brother in law to a local tree farm. It’s an annual tradition that my children look forward to every single year.

The kids in the family get a new Christmas tree bulb every year. Another is opening a gift on Christmas Eve.
We gather around in the living room , make hot chocolate , put on national lampoons Christmas while we decorate the house and put up the tree together

On Christmas Day we stay in our pajamas until the afternoon, when we go for a walk to feed the birds.

Annually we purchase Christmas Crackers – at random we pick an hour from a hat – when family arrives for the meal – the person who arrived at that time receives a small Christmas gift & Christmas Cracker. Fun Tradition.

Our newest tradition is the Elf on the Shelf visits before Christmas. This will be our 2nd year and I am so looking forward to it!

My tradition is to bake shortbread cookies with the recipe that was my great-grandmother’s. It has been handed down in the family to the first girl.

Christmas eve we spend with friends; Christmas morning we have a special breakfast and open our gifts. Love the preparation leading up to Christmas the best – the music, shopping, wrapping and decoration . Oh , and the eating!
Some of our holiday traditions are that everyone gets to unwrap one present on Christmas eve and we decorate our Christmas tree the first weekend in December. 🙂

Every Christmas Eve, a family member has a Christmas party where everyone gets together. It’s nice because that side of the family is huge and this is pretty much the only time the vast majority are together! Lots of fun and food!
My daughter turned 3 and this is my sons first Christmas so I’m really going to start family traditions this year. With decorating, Christmas music, Advent Calendars, I believe Elf on the shelf looks like something I want to do. Also keeping the tradition I had as a child growing up which I went to my grandmothers house and helped her with the tree and we opened presents at midnight Christmas Eve. I cant wait. Having children has brought out the inner kid in me:)

Christmas Eve at around 7PM, everyone gets to open 1 gift. We put up ornaments that mean the world to us, often repeating why they are important to us.
Our holiday traditions include putting up a Christmas tree with ornaments from all the places we have travelled to – it brings such joy each year when we unpack the ornaments and reminisce about our wonderful trips, reliving our experiences through great memories when we see each one. That is my favourite tradition, the collection of our special ornaments and putting them up each year. I also have an annual gingerbread cookie making/decorating day at my house with my friends and their children, as well as a baking day with my older daughter when we bake shortbread cookies. Then there is our annual “ladies and babies” Christmas brunch, our family Christmas dinner, our advent calendars… We have too many traditions to mention really! 🙂
Every year, my husband and I drive the kids around the city to look at all the houses decorated for the holidays.
We always always always play Monopoly Christmas Eve, this has been a family tradition since I was a kid. I am 45 now. Even when I couldn’t count money or read we played teams. Now we do it with our adult children. We bake cookies, have fondue and have meats and cheeses for the night. I love it more than Christmas Day.
We do a Christmas Eve box- filled with new pajamas, hot chocolate, snacks, and a new Christmas movie.
