This Summer, foodies all over Canada entered for a chance to win $2000 and for their recipe to be featured in a McCormick video! McCormick introduced a line of Filipino spices and mixes (and some amazing recipes to try). I even hosted a Filipino Foodie Fest! One of my favourite recipes was actually submitted by another Manitoulin Island foodie! Baking by Kendra‘s Spicy Caldereta Cottage Pie is definitely a winner in this house. My husband and daughter request it quite often!
We followed all the creative and mouthwatering creations/contest entries and when it came time for the judges to select the winner, we awaited with anticipation. With so many delicious recipes, I imagine it was a tough decision for the judges! I know that at home, we were drooling when we saw all the entries!

Congrats to all the winners! I’m so excited to recreate some of these winning dishes as well as the other entries in my own home! I know my family has been enjoying the recipes we’ve tried so far! I’m also so excited that McCormick’s Filipino spices and mixes are available so everyone can use them at home too!
Everyone’s recipes were fabulous! In my opinion, everyone who entered was a winner!
In food & friendship,

I’ve never seen this brand in stores before, but will definitely look out for it! Spice packets makes my home-cooked meals so much easier and tastier 😉
They had some amazing looking recipes submitted to this contest. Love using their spice packages in my cooking!
I love spice packets – they make preparing food so easy and convenient and something that anyone can do. This was a very exciting competition.
Pam: It was very exciting!! So many amazing entries. I want to try all the recipes! LOL!
What a wonderful way to showcase what the average chef can come up with! I can totally see why you have started making these Christine, they sound yummy! I think the Pan Fried Lamb Chops with Mashed would get my vote, but I know some spice lovers who would gobble them all up!
Suzanne: such a great idea, right? Love seeing what the average home cook can come up with. There was a lot of originality and creativity! Loved this contest!
This is perfection. The fact that this post is here is a clear example of sweet blogger outreach done well. You are the best person to be doing this post. I heart this. I love McCormick’s spices. I have not seen these ones here yet. But I like to experiment with spices and recipes.
Ahhh! Paula! This is the most amazing comment ever! Thank you 🙂 If you do end up getting a chance to try the spices and recipes, I’d love to hear what you think!
I want to try the Must Try Pad Thai! I haven’t noticed these seasonings yet at the grocery store, I am going to add them to my ongoing grocery list and create a little something of my own 😉
Mmm! Randa, the Must Try Pad Thai sounds delish, right?! I need to make that soon!
