September seems to have come quickly! It feels like I blinked and when I opened my eyes, Summer had passed and September had rolled in! Now, we’re already halfway through September! How on earth did that happen?!
On the farm, September is busy. Little One is in school and it’s harvesting time.
Since we’re into the third week of school, Little One is getting settled into her back-to-school routine. I do have to say that on Fridays I like to have some snuggle time with my big grade 1 kid! Snuggle time includes a family-friendly show or movie on Netflix and something yummy to eat.
September means lots of garden produce, which means lots of canning, preserving, freezing, and baking! One of our favourite things to do with the copious amounts of zucchini we get every year is making…
Chocolate Zucchini Brownies!
Check out this great Cream Cheese & Veggie sandwich that is perfect for kicking back with your favourite title to watch on Netflix!
Warm chocolate zucchini brownies, a tall glass of cold milk and some Netflix = perfection!
Some Netflix Favourites
The Lorax is a family favourite and Little One and Hubby really enjoyed watching Turbo! Little One is also obsessed with My Little Pony right now.
I won’t even tell you how much Hubby and I really enjoy watching Chuck when Little One is in bed! Okay, we’ve been binge-watching the series and in less than two weeks, we’re into Season 5!
Netflix has a great selection of titles perfect for this time of the year!
For younger kids, back to school ABCs and 123s can be daunting, so we’ve selected titles focused on reading and math. For bigger kids it’s often social skills that become a source of anxiety; acceptance and doing the right thing, and other life lessons are important for kids finding their way in the world. Titles like Glee will help reinforce the building blocks of self-esteem and social skills. Now let’s get learning!
2. Ever After: A Cinderella Story
3. Glee
4. Radio
5. The Pursuit of Happyness
6. The Karate Kid
7. Turbo
8. Shrek

I’m a huge fan of fall! I love harvest activities!
Your harvest looks incredible (and I am sure that picture was only a small portion of your haul!). Way to go. Only this season did I take up canning and I hope to learn more in the coming years.
Im not too stoked about the new releases on netflix, but my son sure is!
I can’t believe summer is behind us and October is just around the corner!
I agree, September is passing by sooooo fast!
We had a quite hot and very very dry summer, so I’m glad that its over, but it did seem to go quickly!
I’m happy to have some cool, crisp air!
September did go by fast, eh? I’m OK with that though because October is my favourite month. We also love Netflix!
October is an awesome month, Jenn! 🙂 Halloween, Fall, harvest time, Fall colours, fresh, crisp air and sweater season! 🙂 What are you Netflixing?
