Some Like It Dark…Dark Roast Coffee, That Is!

Quick question:  How does coffee make you feel when you drink it? Give 3 words to describe the feeling?

For me? Coffee makes me feel:

1. Relaxed
2. Peaceful
3. Sleepy

I took this quiz from a teen magazine (not sure which one) back in the late 80s or early 90s.  I was a teenager and loved taking fun quizzes.  I was surprised that to discover that the way coffee makes you feel is supposed to be indicative of how you feel when in love.  I’m not sure how accurate that is, but it was a fun quiz nonetheless.  The funny thing is that coffee actually does make me sleepy.

Anyway, since we’re talking about coffee, I noted that Hubby has always been a medium roast kind of guy.  A few weeks ago, he tried Tim Hortons’ Dark Roast.  To my surprise, he’s gone to the dark side.  Dark roast side, that is!  I asked Hubby how the Tim Hortons dark roast coffee makes him feel when he drinks it and he answered, “Warm, energized and relaxed”. Interesting!

Tim Hortons’ new Dark Roast coffee is made from a premium blend of 100% Arabica beans, expertly roasted with care. Hubby really enjoys  its rich, delicious taste and full flavour. He kept commenting on the aroma and said it’s one of his favourites.  I  have to tell you that I also really love the flavour of the dark roast.  I love coffee, but those of you who know me also know that I need to drink my coffee at night/before bedtime because coffee totally knocks me out within minutes. Yes, even decaf!
