Dads are superheroes.
Dads are role models, leaders, teachers, entertainers, comedians, protectors, givers of advice (solicited or not), coaches, homework helpers, project consultants, bedtime story readers, human jungle gyms, life coaches, and so much more. I know, because my Dad is all of those things and more!

I have a huge respect for Dads everywhere. My grandfathers were amazing role models when they were both still alive. My brother is a fantastic Dad to his kids. My husband is the greatest father to our Little One. This Father’s Day, I’d like to send out a special shout out to all the amazing fathers out there! Cheers to my belated grandfathers, my dad, my husband, my brother, and to my male cousins and friends. Thanks for being such amazing influences in the lives of so many little ones.
More reasons why we love dads?
A great big Father’s Day shout out for these amazing Canadian Dad bloggers! Read their posts and find out why we love these dads!
Parenting is an adventure. It’s loaded with fun times and some challenges sprinkled along the way. We love Mike from Puzzling Posts and his blog posts about being a dad of two daughters. Check out his post The Great List of Things I Can’t Do Because I Only Have Daughters.
One of our absolute favourite dads in the blogosphere has got to be Chris from Canadian Dad. Not only is Chris an amazing dad to his two amazing kids, but he is an all around great guy. He is an outstanding member of his community, supporting many great causes. He’s also a great friend on and offline. My family can attest to this. Remember when Little One ended up at CHEO last year?
Chris’ blog is one I frequent because I love his gift of storytelling and you can clearly see the love for his children poured out through his posts. That, and the guy is super funny! One of our favourite posts is Fearless. I couldn’t help but smile as I read this post of Chris and his daughter exploring. Moments like the one Chris wrote about make me feel wistful.
There’s one thing to be said about parenting — There are many fun (and funny) moments to be shared! No one makes me laugh quite like Casey from Casey Palmer blog does! The man is as funny online as he is in person. I can vouch for that since Casey and I went to Detroit with Ford Canada together. Just don’t give the man any Jolly Ranchers!
I love reading posts about Casey’s adventures as a new dad. His writing makes me smile (and laugh). I’m looking forward to following his adventures in parenting. In the meantime, here’s a favourite: I’m Not Dead, I’m Just a Dad.
When I think of what a family man is, I immediately think of my friend, Craig from Big Daddy Kreativ. Both he and his wife, Wendy are among my favourite people in the world. Trustworthy, honest, and just good people. What I love about Craig is the importance he places on family and family values. *ahem* That would explain why he and @mapsgirl have such awesome kids! The blog post, Making the Right Decisions properly illustrates the kind of values Craig believes in for his family and what kind of parent he is.
Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible Dads out there!
I hope you enjoy getting to know these four fantastic Canadian dad bloggers (if you don’t already connect with them online)!
