I have to say that our daughter is a princess-fairy-ballerina-tutu kind of girl. She loves all things pink, sparkly, frilly, and shi shi frou frou! This said, she also loves playing in dirt, playing with insects and worms, and playing with cars, trucks, and tractors. It’s quite interesting how she can be a princess in a tutu with rain boots and racing her Hot Wheels. I love it! I think it’s pretty cool, actually! I’m all for girls being able to fix cars, race, and do whatever they are interested in and passionate about!

Promoting Creativity
The Hot Wheels Track Builder Challenge Blogger Kit we received is (for lack of a better word) AMAZING. I was blown away by the selection of Hot Wheels items we received. I was surprised at how many different (and cool!) sets Hot Wheels has!
Check out the fun track Little One came up with! It took a lot of thinking and planning on Little One’s part to organize her track in a way that her cars would generate maximum speed. She was really into it! She transformed our entire living room into a Hot Wheels racing course! I love that she really had to think about what she was doing, figure out which pieces would fit the right way to get the velocity she wanted. I don’t know who had more fun! Little One or her parents?!
www.hotwheels.ca is a great resource (for kids and parents) to expand on track-building knowledge! Yes, some tricks and tips are always good to have up one’s sleeve! It made us look like really cool parents!
The Sky’s the Limit
Plain Jane or super elaborate — Whatever your fancy, the sky’s the limit! It doesn’t matter how you make your Hot Wheels track! The main thing is that you have fun! Little One has come up with several tracks and the first was pretty simple. She’s been playing with her Hot Wheels tracks every day after school and I have to say that her tracks have gotten more and more sophisticated and complex. Okay, they’ve become super cool!
Another thing I love is that all Little One’s friends who come over to play instantly gravitate towards the Hot Wheels sets and want to build, build, and build…and then race! Boys and girls all love playing with the Hot Wheels sets and it keeps them occupied for hours!
Hot Wheels Track Builder Challenge
The Hot Wheels Track Builder Challenge is a cross-national competition implemented to inspire kids to build exciting, original and creative Hot Wheels tracks. Participants upload a picture of their track at hotwheels.ca, where they will be judged by an expert panel consisting of architects, engineers and creative specialists. The winner of the Hot Wheels Track Builder Challenge will win a huge Track Party for them and their friends, hosted by Hot Wheels. In addition to the contest, a digital hub will be created on hotwheels.ca hosting tricks, tips, and behind the scenes footage of the interactive Hot Wheels Ultimate Track build, which will be unveiled in March. The contest runs from March to August, and the winner will be announced in September. The contest has already begun, but you have until August so there’s still time to join in the fun!!
The thing I love most about the Hot Wheels Track Builder Challenge is that it is a great way for kids to get creative and get involved in the challenge by using their own ideas and tracks to build their track whatever way they want to! The new connector pieces now available in Hot Wheels track play-sets allow kids unlimited track connectivity and endless creativity. I’m talking hours and hours of fun!
You can find lots of fun stuff over at HotWheels.ca, including games, tips & tricks, videos and more! Be sure connect with @HotWheelsCanada on Twitter too, for all the latest Hot Wheels news.

I am a mom to two little boys who love Hot Wheels.
