It’s Wednesday! You know what that means! Wordless Wednesday time! I’ve been on a bit of a Wordless Wednesday hiatus and after doing it religiously for years, I stopped for some reason. This is week 2 of getting back into the swing of things. I have to admit that I have missed Wordless Wednesdays.
Just some snippets of our life — Farm life.
On Wednesdays, all over the internet, bloggers post a photograph with no words (hence the name “Wordless Wednesday”. The idea is that the photo says so much that it doesn’t need words to describe it.
Love the photos, especially with your daughter!
Love country life! Your farm looks nice and it looks like your little one enjoys it.
What a sweet set of photos. Farm life looks amazing in them :).
I love the photo where your daughter looks like she is having a chat with one of the farm hen.
Elva, that was her beloved hen, Pinky Pie…who recently got eaten by a family of foxes 🙁 One of the saddest moments on the farm so far. My 5 yr old doesn’t realize her hen is dead. She thinks she’s lost 🙁
I love the one with your daughter facing off with the chicken. It just made me smile!
Tee hee! Olivia, they were deep in conversation 😉 That was her pet chicken who laid an egg for us every single day. She recently got eaten by a fox family 🙁
Would love to live on a farm, all the fresh air and animals and veggies, but I just don’t like all the hard work that it takes to run a farm
Lynda, you said it! Not a fan of the latter part either! 😉
There is a part of me that would love to have a farm and another part that is terrified lol Farm life looks so much more relaxing then city life 🙂
Having lived both, I agree. I’m a city girl who moved to the farm. City life was fast-paced and stressful. Country life is stressful in many other ways. I find myself being busier. Just a different kind of busy. Work never ends, we never have holidays or weekends. Oh, wait…you and I are moms, so we’re used to that, right? lol xo
To think I fell for the “I’m leaving the Island and farming life” April Fools post… It is obvious you are not going anywhere. Thank goodness or where else would I get my farm fix?

Margarita!!! I couldn’t believe that you BELIEVED me!!! I’m the worst at telling jokes and I don’t like because I can’t!!! I’m the worst, so I don’t even bother. I have no poker face either!! Bewildered Bug pointed out to me that I actually used that same April Fools joke last year too!
I want to bring my son to your farm. We would have a great time! http://thebewitchinkitchen.com/2014/05/little-piece-heaven-ww-linky.html
Randa, come visit us!!!!! Totally not kidding!
The life! We have a CSA with a local farmer this summer and I am looking forward to showing my kiddos a little bit of farm life. Great pics.

I would love to live on a small, quiet farm in the county.
How fun that she lives in the country, I grew up in the country as well having all farm animals and growing gardens. Now every time I see one it brings back fond memories!! Have a great
day!! Join me over at http://ohmyheartsiegirl.com/index.php/yesterday-wordless-wednesday-3/
Thanks, Karren! I’m from the city, so country living is foreign to me, but I’m loving every minute of it. Okay, *most* of it! There are days that are more challenging than others though! Heading over to your site! Thanks for popping by!
I need to get my boys out on a farm visit!
Jen, not on A farm visit, but to OUR farm for a visit! I need my Jennifer time!!!
Is that her pet chicken with her at the bottom? They look like they are deep in conversation 🙂
Deb, it *was* her pet chicken 🙁 We have a family of foxes (parents and 5 fox kits) that massacred the coop. It was a blood bath. Oh, there were tears, as we really LOVED Pinky Pie, the chicken!
Your daughter is so lucky that you are giving her a life that is so in tune with nature. She muct absolutely love it.
Thanks, Jaymi! She does! She really loves the lifestyle. She gets her taste of the city regularly, but prefers the country life. I guess it’s the best of both worlds? Both city and country…but she always gets to go “home” to the farm.
