Just like all other moms, this time of the year I am busy prepping for the holidays. There’s so much to consider: Cooking for loved ones, hosting dinner parties, buying presents, and reminding our children (and ourselves!) about the true meaning of Christmas. Instilling values and traditions are so important and we want to stress to Little one that this is the Season of Giving.
While things are pretty crazy at the farm, I’ve found a way to get some of my Christmas shopping done in a pinch! Walmart.ca! Yes! Walmart online! From the comfort of my home office, I was able to buy gifts for loved ones without having to bundle up, drive, brave the slippery roads and crowded stores. I didn’t have to leave my shopping cart to take Little One to the bathroom. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Simple, easy, stress-free.
Don’t get me wrong. I love shopping in-store too, but sometimes I just need a little convenience to make me a much calmer (and saner) person during the holidays.
- All things baby/kids
- Home Décor
- Holiday (Gifts, Essentials or Décor)
- OR other
Though I was tempted to get some holiday decor to make things even more festive and bright, I opted for gifts for loved ones. This is the Season of Giving, so I didn’t want to get anything for myself.
I have to say that the #walmartonline shopping experience was fun, easy, and convenient. The only difficulty was deciding what to get everyone! I was able to purchase everything from baby items to a Keurig brewer!
I have a friend who does so much for everyone and works so hard. She’s been an amazing and supportive friend and I wanted to show her how much I appreciate her. I got her this for her birthday/Christmas present…
Shopping from home made simple
The walmart.ca site is easy to navigate. Searching for items and brands I was looking for was so simple.
If you don’t already have an idea of what you’re going to buy, check out the Holiday Gift Centre. There are lots of great gift ideas and at very affordable prices.
If you’re getting toys, the Toy Finder makes finding the perfect toy a lot easier. You can search by gender, age and price. I won’t lie. I spent a few hours online scoping out all the great gift ideas!
I can’t believe I got some Christmas shopping done –from my house!
My items arrived a few days after I ordered them! Perfect timing! I have ample time to wrap and deliver the presents!
The shopping process was so easy and I will definitely be shopping #walmartonline again! It really does make life a little A LOT easier for me!
Edited to add: Since shopping online for my #walmartonline challenge, I have since purchased more items on the www.walmart.ca website. I’ve even shopped from my tablet and phone! So fun! I got everything from gifts for loved ones, Little One’s teacher, bus driver and even some toys for the local toy drive.
Disclosure – I was compensated for this post, however all thoughts and opinions expressed on this blog are honest and my own.
I had no idea you could shop online with Walmart. I love it. I think I’m just going to forgo the mall this year and do all my Christmas shopping from my desk 🙂
Haha! Candace, sometimes I think that’s my best option. Not a fan of crazy crowds.
Oh that’s great news. Walmart is always crowded during the holidays! This will make shopping so easy!
Avoiding the craziness of the walmart parking lot while still enjoying all the savings = GENIUS!
This is a great idea! I find doing some of the holiday shopping online saves me so much time and money.
I shopped online for Christmas this year too! I was really impressed by the updated website that they have now and the offering of quick shipping, which both times didn’t cost me anything! I am relatively close to a few Walmarts, but I enjoyed being able to look online and take my time, all while doing so later at night while the kids were in bed. It freed up my time from going into the store and had everything shipped right to my door! I did about 75% of my Christmas shopping online, just makes things to easy!
I’ve never shopped at Walmart online before. I’ve shopped in the store plenty of times. I’ll have to check it out. I find having a full time job, a blog and 2 kids ages 5 and under that getting to the store to Christmas shop is harder and harder. I’m starting to do more and more shopping online. Thanks for the suggestion.
Crystal, though I do love shopping in-store, I have to admit that shopping online is SO convenient!
I have already shopped at walmart online twice and I really enjoyed both experiences. The only thing I wish they would add is the ability to pay via paypal. But as long as you have a credit card, it’s great and they ship fast.
Yes! PayPal option would be great 🙂
