It seems most people I know own a smartphone. Let’s be honest…We are attached to our mobile devices. They pretty much hold our lives in them. With calendars, contacts, email, photos, videos, documents (to begin with!), they really do contain our lives! Many of us admit that we’d be lost without our mobile devices.
This is why we protect them.
What’s the worst thing that’s ever happened to your cellphone? Have you ever dropped your cellphone in the toilet before? Uhhhh…not sure why one would even have their cellphone in the bathroom with them to begin with. Oh, okay. How many of you actually do bring your phones to the bathroom with you? No judging here. I promise. What about your kids dropping your phone when they’re playing games on it? Have your kids every cracked the screen on our phone?
Last month, I introduced you to Caseco. Excellent protection you need with the style you want!
Remember that fun Caseco Twitter party we had? Prior to that. I let a few of my reviewers try out some Caseco products. Here are some of their honest opinions:
From the moment I laid my eyes on these gorgeous phone covers I knew I had to have one! Bright, glossy, feminine yet rugged and tough – what a package! The difficult part was choosing which colour I wanted most. I ended up with the one that caught my eye first, the Topaz Blue! The day it arrived in the mail I tore open the packaging (sorry not to take a minute to admire the packaging) and snapped the candy blue case onto my Samsung s4. Thanks to my impatience, I didn’t read the instructions that were right before me and ended up with bubbles underneath the included screen protector but I love that all I needed to do was give it a clean and it was ready to reuse. I love that it’s included with the case too!
Now I have a confession to make. I had an OtterBox cover before the Caseco Shock Express and I loved how it made me feel that my baby… er, my phone was safe and sound even when I dumped it into my purse time and time again. It was however, bulky and an ugly dull grey colour. I kept it aside for the first week and a half that I used the Caseco case because I wanted to be able to go back to it if I fell out of love or didn’t feel like the new case was holding-up to its promises. I am pleased to say that I have said “goodbye” to my Otterbox! It’s found a new home with my brother who has the same phone and doesn’t mind its dull grey appearance. I, on the other hand, am totally in love with my Topaz Blue Caseco Shock Express cover! It has held up very well to the treatment I’ve given it. It’s been plopped into my purse and bag countless times over the past couple of weeks, it’s been given ample opportunities to get scratched, to slip and fall, and to annoy me with an ill-fit but it’s still scratch-free, shiny, giving me full functionality to my phone, and quietly rugged around the edges where it needs to be for a great grip! It’s a small thing, but I’d like to mention that I love how the rugged edging creates a bit of a “lip” around the face of the phone so that when I sit the phone down on a surface, face-down, it’s really only the cover that’s making contact and therefore keeping my phone safer!
Thanks, Janine! We love that your cat approves of the Caseco Shock Express!!
I received a Caseco iPhone 5/5S SHOCK EXPRESS Case – Apricot Orange w/ Screen Protector for my iPhone 5. The first thing I noticed when the package arrived was the bright colour of the case. Although it was true to the picture on their website, I thought the colour would be slightly muted. The colour is very orange. I almost offered it to my husband to take on a hunting trip. Almost. I wasn’t sure if my iPhone already had a protective cover on it so I didn’t put it on at first. After checking the phone, I thought it would be best to use the free screen protector that came with the case. I had some difficulty getting the screen protector on without having air bubbles appear under it. After a few tries I only had a few small bubbles underneath it so I moved on.
The case itself was easy to put on. The first thing I noticed was the small size of the case. It fit into my pocket and did not feel bulky at all. I also noticed the slight curvature that made the case comfortable to hold, as well as the small bumps on each side which help to grip the phone and make it feel as though it is not going to slip out of my hand. I like that the power and volume buttons on my iPhone are also protected, but wish there was something to cover the headphone access and the charging slot in order to keep dust and dirt out. Going back to the covering on the volume and power buttons, I find the volume buttons still very easy to depress; however, the power button doesn’t seem to be aligned quite right. I would also prefer the screen protector to be a part of the case itself, rather than a clear, plastic stick-on piece, so dirt and dust are not able to enter the phone. Overall, I really like the case. It seems durable and I really like the size and weight of my phone in the case. I feel comfortable letting my 5 year old use my phone while in my Caseco SHOCK EXPRESS Case, knowing that it will likely hit the ground a few times. This is a good quality case for a good price.

There you have it! Real (and honest) reviews from two of my testers! I have to say that I am in love with the Topaz Blue case that Janine has. I will admit that when I first saw Robyn’s case, I thought it was a bit “bright”. It’s actually grown on me though and I do like the orange colour. I’d say it’s more of a Clementine Orange than an Apricot!

I love the colours and the look of the cases. I’d love to get one for hubby’s new iPhone.
Those are such sweet colours! I love them and wish they made cases for my phone.
The colours are beautiful, aren’t they? What kind of phone do you have, Victoria?
