Thoughts
It’s been a difficult week. A week filled with lots of sadness. Not just for myself, but for others dear to us.
Just when I was facing life altering news, my friend’s news put things into perspective for me.
My heart breaks.
When life gets overwhelming, this is my perfect place for a retreat.
Where do you go when you need to be alone with your thoughts?
Tonight, I will give my not-so-cuddly Little One an extra long hug and kiss goodnight.
Link up your Wordless Wednesday posts! I realize today’s was not so wordless and kind of morose! Sorry about that!

I love to go for a run on the boardwalk at the beach when I need to think.
so lovely
Thank you, Jennifer!
I too like to be by the water when I want to be alone with my thoughts. It is the most calming place for me.
I usually go to the gym, yoga, or running. I find that exercise really helps me to clear my head.
Wow. That’s absolutely beautiful. I wish I had somewhere like that to go when I need time to myself.
Honestly Christine… you take some of the best pictures….EVER. You need to see this image to iStockphoto because it is THAT good. People would buy it to use on their blogs…
To find some quiet time I tend to like when all my kids are at school and hubby is at work. I take that time to reflect.
I’m a walker. When I need time alone to work through things I put on my running shoes, plug in the iPod and go for a brisk walk around the lake.
gorgeous photo!
I’m so sorry for your bad week Christine. 🙁 I too, had a bad few weeks. Loss is never easy. Needless to say – I often went to a place much like this gorgeous photo. Water and the setting sun seem to be all you need to clear your head or (take a break from your head). Sometimes, I even drive by the lagoon and park under a tree while the little one takes a nap. If I’m lucky – I end up napping myself. This is a lovely retreat. I hope next week is much better for you… x
If I can get away, I go for a walk along the water. If not, then I retreat with a chai.
Quality time with my kids, or else quality time in my tub AWAY from my kids. It depends on the day and how they’re behaving. It sounds like life is pretty hard right now – blessings to you.
I like to go for a walk by myself but your beach looks like the perfect place for quiet contemplation. {{Hugs}}
I love the sunset shots. I go to the beach.
Paula:
Me too. There’s something about the water, the sunsets, the sand, the sounds…makes for some good reflection time.
It’s a looooong shower to destress for me… and a cocktail
Yashy:
I think I love you! LOL! I’m going to do both of those tonight! lol
Hope you’re hanging in there, hon! This looks like a wonderful place to recharge and get some perspective.
Kat:
Thanks, lovey! Ahhhh…I’m usually a really upbeat and positive person. Events that have transpired recently have left me feeling a bit down though. 🙁
I usually go for a walk down a trail that is near me… that or I go lay down in bed. lol
Liz:
Those are great ideas! I think I’ll try BOTH!
