It was exactly what she was longing for. That feeling of warmth wrapped around her was enough to make all her worries melt away. There was nothing she wanted more in the world.
Yes, I admit it! I am a veritable “Tea Granny”. Don’t get me wrong — I do love my coffee! However, many of you know by now that coffee has an adverse effect on me. It puts me to sleep. For this reason, I can only enjoy a cup of espresso or cappuccino right before bed (to knock me out). Yes, you read correctly.
In some ways, this affliction works out for me though. It enables this tea lover to enjoy drinking more tea!
Growing up, I was always an ordinary-Orange-Pekoe-tea-with-a-bit-of-sugar-and-milk kind of girl. In my teens and early twenties, I fell in love with Chai teas and then when I started teaching ESL, my Korean and Japanese students introduced me to teas from their countries.
If you saw my tea collection, you’d know just how tea-crazy I really am! If my tea cupboard weren’t stacked enough, it may have just gotten a bit fuller! Thanks to the introduction of Steeped Tea, I’ve got a few new favourites! Steeped Tea with Charissa sent me a few items to try. I got to enjoy the following teas: Divine Goji Berry, Feminini-tea, Clementine Biscotti, Hawa ya Doin, and Toffee Crunch. I must confess that I quickly became a fan of Steeped Tea and ended up buying a few items after getting hooked on the ones I received.
Vanilla Dream is probably my favourite at the moment. The aroma is lovely. This comforting vanilla tea is indeed gentle and creamy. No need to add anything to it. It’s perfect just the way it is. This works well for me since I have been trying not to add any sweeteners to my teas. If I do, it’s either local honey, maple syrup from our farm or coconut sugar. Thankfully, the Vanilla Dream is so delicious, it doesn’t need anything to sweeten it. The ingredients are: black tea, sunflower petals, calendula petals & natural flavours.
Bella Coola is a close second when it comes to new favourites. Ingredients: dried apple pieces, hibiscus, rosehip, natural dried orange pieces, natural flavours. I’ve been making Bella Coola iced tea in my Bodum Iced Tea jug and love it! Hubby says he feels it can use some sweetening, but I haven’t been using any sweeteners (raw/natural/other) in my beverages at all. I find the Bella Coola iced tea is a subtle, gentle, flavourful tea and perfect on its own. No sugar necessary.
How cute is my monkey tea strainer?
Any other Steeped Tea lovers out there?

As a person who only shares the things I love (I will never recommend anything I feel is inferior in quality), I highly recommend Steeped Tea.
