Why We Love Our Keurig Platinum Brewer System

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!  The alarm goes off in the morning, you stumble out of bed in a groggy state of “can’t I just go back to bed for 5 more minutes?”

What’s the first thing you think of when you get out of bed?

For most, probably coffee!  Wrapping your hands around that hot cup of coffee, having that rich aroma awaken the senses and help you get started on your day…sounds about right, yes?  Well, that is certainly true in this house.  Only, Hubby is the one who gets to enjoy a morning coffee, as coffee has an adverse effect on me. Though I love the taste of coffee, it knocks me out cold in 5 minutes flat!  I can, however, drink tea or other hot beverages and am unaffected.  Coffee for me is reserved for bedtime…for putting me to sleep. I know. Weird, right?

Being able to make just one cup of coffee and one cup of tea is one of the reasons we love our Keurig!  No need to make an entire pot for one person.

Want to know why we love our Keurig K-Cup Platinum Brewer System?

The Keurig K-Cup Platinum Brewer System is the Cadillac of brewer systems!

The Platinum Brewing System brews a perfect cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage at the touch of a button.   Hubby had fun figuring everything out and he loves his new Keurig! It’s his new baby. No, really. He’s in love with it!

I’ve always wanted to have my own coffee station in my kitchen so I could play ‘Barista’!

With an award-winning design, this brewer features a blue, backlit LCD display that allows you to program water temperature, set the digital clock, Auto On/Off and your favorite cup size. This is great because you can program the brewer to have coffee ready for you the way you want it. If you want a smaller cup size or a larger one, it’s up to you! With the choice of five cup sizes, the Platinum brewer offers a removable drip tray to accommodate travel mugs. Hubby uses the travel mug size when he goes off to work.

  • Fully Programmable
  • Choice of 5 cup sizes (4 oz., 6 oz., 8 oz., 10 oz. and 12 oz.)
  • Removable 72 oz. water reservoir
  • Quiet Brew Technology®
  • Energy Savings Mode – Auto On/Off
  • 250 varieties

I do admit that though I love the variety of different coffees, teas and other beverages available for the Keurig, the “greenie” in me feels very guilty about the idea of single serve coffees.  Well, Keurig has an answer for that! We got a My K-Cup, which is a reusable filter.  Now we can brew any coffee we want with single-cup convenience. Love it!

Another thing I love about the Keurig K-Cup Platinum Brewer System?  I never have to make myself a tea, coffee or hot chocolate again.  Why? Hubby always wants to be the one to make the beverages with the Keurig! I’m telling you, if someone could build a washing machine or dishwasher as fun as the Keurig, I’d be a really happy woman!

The Keurig K-Cup Platinum Brewer System is a PTPA Award Winner.  Anything that makes parents’ lives a bit easier is a winner in my books!  If it can get my coffee ready in a jiffy, then even better!

The good people at Keurig and PTPA have given me the opportunity to give you a chance to win a Keurig Prize Pack! Open to residents of Canada and the U.S. Ends 12AM EST on December 13, 2013.
